I was eagerly anticipating this title (as were many of you) and thankfully, I was not disappointed. I think Hawk and Dove will make a nice addition to the roster. Not sure why Zinda felt the need to ask Dawn if Hank was “fancy” – seemed odd and somewhat random. Just because was chatting with someone named Quince? Hmmm, has Hank ever had a love interest? I’m sure he banged a waitress or two, but has he had a “girlfriend?”
Soaring out of BRIGHTEST DAY, the Birds are back in town! Because you demanded it, fan-favorites Gail Simone (WONDER WOMAN, SECRET SIX) and Ed Benes (JUSTICE LEAGUE, GREEN LANTERN) reunite to reinvent the book where they made their explosive debut as a team. Oracle, Black Canary, Huntress and Lady Blackhawk all return to Gotham City where they belong – and they’ve brought a couple of new friends (or are they foes?) along with them!

Aside from one shot of Canary landing on her tuckas, artist Ed Benes managed to steer clear of his usual tendency to cheesecakeify scenes a bit with mid-battle arched back ass-centric poses.
